Do It For Something Greater Than You
My daily inspiration (even for the mundane tasks) is Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men," Every day I motivate myself by remembering that what I do is for the glory of God, not for me, not for my boss, not for my company or country, but for God. When I focus on glorifying God and none of those other things, God blesses those things more than if they were my sole purpose. I believe that's because God likes it when you have him as your sole purpose. If God's not your motivation, what is?
